A Mother's Love (+) A Mother's soft and gentle touch, Her caring, tender hands; Know when her children need her, They seem to understand. They have a language of their own, Communicate so well; Speak softly to her children's hearts, More than mere words can tell. A Mother's warm and loving arms, Can soothe a baby's cry; The sweetest song of tenderness, In a Mother's lullaby. Her arms know when to hold them close, And drive away their fears; They comfort and protect you, Till problems disappear. Her soft voice whispers love to them, Sings to them as they sleep; Of angels that watch over them, Of how they guard and keep. There's nothing like a Mother's heart, Her love, her prayers, her smile; God placed these all within her, To give back to her child. For every single seed she sows, Every prayer she sends above; Will come back to her multiplied, Within her children's love.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 1995 Brother (+) Hand in hand through childhood days, We laughed and played together, Now heart to heart, we grew to learn, That a brother is forever.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 2006 Child Of My Heart (+) Although I didn't give you life, I gave you all my love; The day that we became family, Was a gift from the Father above. He placed in me a parent's love, For a child who wasn't my own; Then built a spot within my heart, A place that you could call home. No matter where we go in life, I'll walk with you every mile; Because of the love God placed in our hearts, You will always be my child.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 1995 Family Circle (+) In the circle of a family, There are so many parts; But each one is more precious, When they're joined heart to heart. The father to the mother, And so the circle begins; Generation to generation, In a circle with no end. There within the family, Between the husband and wife; The circle grows much sweeter, As each child is given life. Then as those years so quickly pass, Those children are soon grown; And they become fathers and mothers, With little children of their own. Touched with love and sacrifice, The circle of family begins; Generation to generation, In a circle with no end.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 1995 Mother (+) The words, "I love you Mommy", From many days before, Were answered by my Mother's voice, My child, I love you more. It took me years to realize, And many years to see, That the joy I saw in my Mother's eyes, Was the love she had for me.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 2006 | Mother's Sweetest Song (+) The first time that she held me, was underneath her heart; God placed me there to feel her love, right from the very start. The first time I heard a lullaby, her voice, so soft and warm; In that haven of peace and slumber, nestled safely in her arms. It was the sweetest melody, of love that lingers long; The lullaby she sang to me, was my Mother's sweetest song. Looking back I wonder, was there a time she wasn't there? No matter where life led me, I was in my Mother's prayers. Now winter winds blow softly, cross love that lingers long; In the beauty of the memory, of my Mother's sweetest song.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 2002 To Dad (+) I want to thank you Dad, For giving me your love; For being a reflection, Of our Father up above. For being more than just a Dad, But a hero and a friend; Someone that I could run to, On whom I could depend. You think I don't remember, What you did through all the years; How you stood beside me right or wrong, Through laughter and through tears. I don't have much to offer you, In return for all you have done; Just know somebody loves you, And I am that someone.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 1995 To Mother (+) A gentle touch, a loving hand, A smile to light my day; Wisdom, grace and beauty, To guide me on my way. Arms that held me close at night, To chase away my fears; A hand outstretched for me to hold, And dry my childish tears. God took the best of all he had, Like a beautiful melody; For when He created Mothers, He created you for me.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 2002 To My Sister (+) I'm blessed to call you sister, I also call you friend; You've loved me unconditionally, And stood through thick and thin. You've shared my joys and sorrows, My laughter and my tears; You've been my inspiration, As we grew up through the years. When we were little children We laughed and played together; Then growing up you stood by me, Through good and stormy weather. There's something God has given us, That's more than family; He's placed a love for you Sister, Deep down in the heart of me.
