A Parent's Blessing (+) The first time that we held you, Looked in your tiny face; We weren't thinking of this day, Filled with ribbons, pearls and lace. All we saw was a babe in our arms, So helpless, small and sweet; We knew that God had blessed us, And made our lives complete. We watched you as you grew so fast, From a baby to a child. Now that child has grown up, That we walked with so many miles. We watched you as you fell in love, With the one who loves you so; And knew as Mother and Father, We would have to let you go. Now here we are on your wedding day, Walking through this new chapter in life; We give you a parent's blessing, As you become man and wife.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 1995 Memories We Treasure (+) Each one of your remembered On this our wedding day The joy that you have given Within our hearts shall stay For each of you a blessing That falls upon our hearts You made this day so joyous As treasured memories start The warmth of love you've given Shall never fade away We thank you for this honor Of joining us this day As time moves on we'll carry These moments that we share Each treasure in a special place With love we can't compare.
~ Francine Pucillo 2005 A Parent's Prayer (+) May your day be filled with happiness, And the sun shine on your life; May joy and laughter be with you, As you become man and wife. May the angel's sing with joy for you, On this your wedding day; A song of celebration, That will follow you on life's way. We pray that God will bless you, No matter where you go; That love and laughter and children Will fill your happy home. Our hearts are filled with love and pride, As we watch you standing there; We wish you the joy you've given us, This is your parent's prayer.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 1996 | To My Bride (+) No day will be as special, As this day in my life; I watch you walking down the aisle, To become my precious wife. My heart is filled with gladness, There's joy beyond compare; That God has given a priceless gift, In this life that we will share. As you stand beside me, As we vow hand in hand; To love and honor and cherish, Then slip on these golden bands. I promise to protect you, To always bring joy to your life; I know you are a gift from God, As today I make you my wife.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 1995 To My Groom (+) As a little girl I dreamed such dreams, About my wedding day; I'd dress up like a blushing bride, In the games that little girls play. Now that childish game I played, Has become a dream come true; My dream is now reality, Standing side by side with you. As you become my husband, And I vow to be your wife; Flesh of your flesh and bone of your bone, I am blessed to share in your life. I give my life to you this day, My love, my hand, my heart; I vow to make your dreams come true, As we make this brand new start.
~ Allison Chambers Coxsey 1995 To My Parents (+) You are the ones who gave me love, Who brought me into this world; Even though it's my wedding day, I'm still your little girl. There will always be that child in me, Who loves her parents so; No matter where life takes me, Or how far away I go. I'll never be too far from you, For our hearts are connected with love; We share a special, holy gift, In our Heavenly Father above. While you're giving me in marriage, You'll not really give me away; For I'll leave a piece of my heart with you, A gift on my wedding day.
